1. Geographic location:
Le Mon Industrial Zone, Thanh Hoa province was founded and proved by Prime minister about infrastructure business and construction investment project in Decision No. 186/1998 / QD-TTg, on September 25th, 1998 and the Decision No. 1396 / QD-TTg on October 29th, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the amendment on some articles in Decision No. 186/1998 / QD-TTg dated 25/09/1998.
This is the first concentrated industrial zone of Thanh Hoa province, far from the center of Thanh Hoa city and Highway 1A about 5 km to the east, away from Le Mon port 1km, far from Nghi Son port 60 km.
The boundary is determined as follows:
- To the north: Adjacent to Guangzhou river
- The south is adjacent to Highway 47
- The east is adjacent to Quang Phu commune
- To the west: near Thanh Hoa City
2. Size of the area:
Le Mon Industrial Zone is located in Quang Hung Commune, Thanh Hoa City with approved scale of 62.61 ha, and investment capital of 63.5 billion. However, in the building process of industrial park, due to the actual situation of the locality, People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province decided to expand. Up to now, the area of Le Mon industrial zone reaches to 87.61 ha, investment capital up to 113.3 billion.
- Technical infrastructure: the infrastructure system inside and outside of the industrial park has been completed basically, convenient industry services; synchronous water/electricity works ready to meet the demand of investors.
3. The status of industrial park:
3.1. Infrastructure building investment:
Thanks to the attention of central Ministries, Sectors, especially the enthusiastic guidance of the provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Le Mon province, Le Mon industrial zone now was synchronous and relatively completed. Items approved was basically completed.
3.2. Businesses are working in the industrial zone:
There are all 29 projects investing in Le Mon Industrial Park
+ The total investment capital: 1.022.820 million VND and $ 17,300,000.0 million (including 22 domestic investment projects and 07 projects with foreign investment capital).
+ Land acrage for rent: 65 ha in which 60.81 hectares has been leased (accounting 93,55%)
+ Revenue in first 6 months of 2009 reached to 387.440 million VND,
+ Budget contribution infirst 6 months of 2009 reached to 11 484 million VND,
+ Worker in Le Mon Industrial Zone: 7.340 people
+ Average salary of worker in the industrial park reached to 1.2 million -1.5 million / person / month.
