Thang Long II industrial zone is located in Pho Noi B industrial zone(Hung Yen) was invested according to the standards of a clean and environmental friendly industrial zone attracting many investors, especially investors in Japan.
- Geographical location: adjacent to national road 5 (from Hanoi to Hai Phong); about 30 km from Hanoi, from Hai Phong port 70 km, from deep-water port in Quang Ninh about 110 km.
- Land scale: 345.2 hectares. In which: Stage 1: 219.6 hectares, land area for lease of 154 hectares, stage 2: 125.6 ha, the land area for lease of 101 ha.
-Technical Infrastructure:
Stage 1: Thang Long II industrial zone has completed the work of compensation, site clearance for entire land area of industrial zone and completed the technical infrastructure structure on an area of 154.4 hectares. The internal road system of industrial zone, water supply system and drainage system, power supply, fire fighting system, water supply plant with a capacity of 4,500 m3 / day and wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 3,000 m3 /day completed and put into operation. Investors are actively building infrastructure for the remaining area part of 65,3ha.
Stage 2: On April 28, 2011 the government has agreed to add Thang Long II industrial zone intothe list ofindustrial zones expected to expand to 2015, with an area of 125.6 hectares. Up to now, investors are making amends for flat clearance and leveling landto implement phase 2 as registered,it is expected that the area part of phase 2 will complete technical infrastructure items and put into operation before December 2013.
- Sectors attracting investment: Projects in the manufacturing fields of electronic products and precision engineering; the electronic engineering industry, transport machinery, light industry; industrial gas production.
- Investment project attraction status: By the end of September 2012, the industrial zone has received over 36 industrial park projects from Japan with a total investment of $ 1,040 million, including a some projects with the large scale like the project of Hoya Glass disk company, Hamaden company, Toyota, Kyocera Vietnam Co., Ltd.... Currently the total land area used of Phase 1 is 106 hectares with a current occupancy rate is 70% of the land area capable for leae in phase 1 (106/154 ha).
